Kovk: fly over the vineyards.
Kovk is a takeoff at about 860 m on the edge of the Gora plateau, above Ajdovščina in the Vipava Valley. It's the sunny, southern side of our flying, close to the Italian border.

What the flight is like
You run off the slope and the valley opens up: vineyards, villages and the long line of the plateau beside you. The Vipava Valley is known for its wine. Pilots don't drink before flying. Guests may, afterwards.
Good to know
The Vipava Valley is famous for the bora (burja), a strong, gusty wind. On bora days nobody flies at Kovk, so we switch to Gorenjska or pick another date.
