Zaplata: the long hike & fly.
Zaplata is a mountain above Preddvor in Gorenjska. We don't fly from the summit: the takeoff is on its southern slope, about 20 m below the Hudičev boršt hut. It's about 800 m on foot from Hrib above Preddvor, and the whole way back down is a flight.

A takeoff below the summit
The takeoff is on the southern slope of Zaplata, about 20 m below the hut, not on the summit. It works when the wind comes from the south: southeast, south or southwest.
A hut for the weekend
The Hudičev boršt hut is normally open only at weekends. Then it's just 20 m above the takeoff.
Same start as Potoška gora
Zaplata and Potoška gora share the start of the walk in Hrib and the landing field, but not the takeoff. The wind on the day decides which one we fly.

How long is the hike?
About 800 m up from Hrib above Preddvor, usually 1.5–2 hours.
Zaplata or Potoška gora?
The wind decides. Both hikes start in Hrib and land on the same field; Zaplata is the longer one, about 800 m instead of 600 m.
Is the hut open?
Normally only at weekends.
Do you fly Zaplata in winter?
